HIFAME (NGO) is the Agency dealing with environmental conservation based in Kasulu district, Kigoma region. The agency is currently dedicated at estabilishing sustainable economic bases to the communities and the people it saves. The main motive is to make sure that environmental conservation bring about sustainable development though proper utilization of natural resources.
The agency is currently raising seedlings of various species that are planted in targeted areas. These seedlings are planted in fields that are denuded for the purpose of conserving environment, but other seedlings are planted in gullies and around water sources. The intervention of the agency has led to notable improvement of degraded ares as three rivers that were drying up has resumed to teir original volumes, such rivers includes Mlambo, Mgandazi, and Kibagwe. The strategic plan is to make sure that all rivers that are drying are conserved so that they sustainablly support economic activities of people inKasulu district and Tanzania in general.
The agency is looking for development partners who are sympathetic in the area of development through environment conservation.
